Yeah.  So have I.  I've also spent more than a little time scratching 
my head, staring at and working with seemingly-identical configurations 
that didn't boot.

Unfortunately, buying the same brand and the same device model doesn't 
mean the devices inside the packaging are the same, unfortunately.
