Yes, I agree. But it was all implicit, even if the writing on the wall
is in fluo colour at 600 point bold flashing font.
I don't think HP has made a formal announcement on HP-UX in terms of no
new releases.
With VMS, from the day that they decided to not make it available on
Poulson, they knew they would have to make a formal announcement once
Tukwila end of sale would be announced.
Suspect HP may prefer to milk the cow as long as possible and only do
security patches on HP-UX and not admit it has stopped developping it.

**IF** HP has a plan on exactly what unique features of HP-UX they want
to port to Linux, then they would likely wait until those features are
ready to ship so that when they make formal EOL announcement of HP-UX,
they can point to customer able to benefit from same features on Linux.
