Thanks to Simon Clubley's "16TB for Firefox" reference a few
minutes ago for reminding me that I hadn't seen anything about The
Machine in the last few months. Or about memristors.
"The Machine" and memristors seem to have had a split, which seems
to have been quietly announced a few weeks ago. A very quick look
just now didn't find a great deal of real detail beyond that;
ExtremeTech was the best of a not very good bunch that I quickly
found.
Warning: adblocker strongly recommended, esp. taboola:

Meanwhile closer to the real world, the next but one major release
of VMS will presumably still be on an architecture we're familiar
with.
