There was work on Alpha emulation started a while back, but it's not 
very active based on a quick look at the copyright dates.

Most of the comments appear to be cleanup related to other work 
elsewhere in simh — one of the recent Alpha changes looked to be some 
pretty printing performed in the Alpha code.
