Not sure how relevant that is. Or correct.

The question is, how many address lines did you have in the boxes?
Memory on the 11/780 sat directly on the SBI. So it becomes a question
of how many address lines the SBI have.
Even the VAX-11/750 eventually managed to get 4MB memory modules.
