Yep. Just like those self-service grocery checkouts with the watch-em person. 

You're in line. There's some fool who can't figure out how to work the thing. Meanwhile you're thinking you might get out faster having a grocery checker do it. Right when you're about to leave, some family with an overflowing shopping cart pulls up to the line you were going to rush to. So you get angrier and angrier and ______________. Finally it's your turn. You're in front of the screen. You're all psyched up and raring to go! But you quickly learn that you have to wait for the clueless one to finish bagging! NOW you're finally ready to begin. And now _you're_ the clueless one trying to figure out how to work the thing. And you get to find out first-hand how certain items aren't all that easy to scan! After you've scanned three or four items the machine tells you that the ramp is full and you have to put bag some of the items. So you go down to the end and bag'em. Back to the scanner. Back and forth. Forth and back. Repeat. Again. Then the thing gets upset with you, thinking you're trying to steal some items, all because of some innocent easily-misinterpreted, yet quite reasonable move on your part. It refuses to do any more scans. You have to wait for the watch'em person to help you out. Of course he or she is taking a bathroom break or helping someone else. 

Ah, modern technology.
