It's the classic, "what's old is new again." It kills me when I see
someone trying to re-invent clustering when VMS had it decades ago.

I started a VAX to Alpha port with a cluster of three Multias. One of
the Multia's croaked because of the "heat death" issue. Can't remember
if I gave them away or just trashed them.

Finally got the customer to buy a DPWS 500au to complete the port.
Vastly superior.

I've had customers who wanted to create a totally new system that did
not exist before. In that case, there are no licenses from a physical
system to transfer to the virtual one. To get legal licenses, they'll
have to buy new licenses. The last time I got a quote for a small set of
Alpha licenses, it was several times larger than the CHARON license
price.
