If there is a warranty, it is "new" until the warranty expires ..

And, then it's time for another "new" one ..

If a system has a HW support contract, then it is never old ..

I've had luck with Asus MB in the past. Both the PCs I'm using are
maybe 10 years old. However, I had an experience that will cause me to
never purchase another.

Send a board back for warranty coverage. Came back, they claimed a
scuff mark on the corner, said it was damaged, my fault, and no warranty
coverage.

Now, I KNOW there was no scuff mark when I sent the board to Asus.
Yeah, you get the picture ....

Thing is, there was nothing wrong with the MB. I re-inited the disk and
re-built weendoze. Worked fine. Must have been some malware. Or a
board needing re-seated.

Thing is, they could have tested the MB and told me it was Ok. But no,
they had to be dishonest scumbags.

We need more stuff "made in America". Then again ....
