Right, my experience is that most of them hasn't even asked if there
is a web server for their VMS server at all. Serving application data
out from the same VMS server where the data already is is much more
efficent then e.g. replicating data or connecting remotely to get to
the data. It is also easy to call some of your business logic to
gradualy move your users over to web based interface.

As I said, noone would use a VMS system *only* to run a web server.
The need will always be to complement some old application on that
VMS server with some more modern user interface.
