Is there anything specific with the serial port on these devices?
That is, something that makes them not work like any other serial
device like the console on DS20's or HSZ conotrollers?
I have used a lot of different terminal servers over the years
for "console" work, from DECserver 200 on MV3100's in the 90s
to Lantronix servers today for our three DS20's.
There are a few minor things to remember, such as selecting
"Force off" for "Local echo" and "Local line editing" in PyTTY.
That will disable all telnet handshaking while connecting, and
put the telnet session in a "raw" mode that works better on
the console ports. The console port does not understand the
telnet handshaking and PuTTY will switch to "local echo" witch
will mess up the display with double lines...
And we only use TCPIP/telnet to connect to them, of course.
Just connect to the IP address and port 10001 (for port 1).

The Moxa device should also work fine. Just connect to the IP
address of the Moxa and port 4001 (for serial port no 1).
