/Over the top/...? You're trying to promote a product here, or are
you trying to be a shy schoolgirl? There's no place for modesty in
marketing, or anywhere where people want to make inroads and achieve
something.
And if VMS isn't that king now, if it doesn't strive to become one
(or, again), or in its domain, then you might as well not bother
and give up already.

It looks tacky and similar to the Firefox logo, especially color-
wise.

Who /didn't/ tried to kill it off?! VMS is that shark that evades
the nets and poachers, VMS has managed to stay out of the Chinese
delicatessen corner.
