OK, but the accompanying tag line was:
"In an ocean full of guppy operating systems, wouldn't you want to be
the king of the seas?"
That may have been appropriate at the time, but is a bit over the top now.
As a symbol for what VSI is doing right now, the Phoenix is very
appropriate i.m.h.o.
After all, DEC tried to kill off VMS, Compaq announced it just after the
merger was made public, and HP announced it. So at least three times VMS
rose from the ashes so to speak.
