Perhaps the changes were tested, and approved.

I tried to find the post, but failed.  Still I remember (Ok, everyone 
take cover) reading that the fixes were put in the live sources, even 
though not sent out to customers.  Perhaps I mis-remembered ....

But remember JF, we're talking about HP.  Do you really think they cared?
