Ayup.  See my other reply.    Hopefully VSI does something akin to what 
Apple did with the addition of support for Apple's HFS+ support at the 
EFI level, and VSI moves at least the Primitive File System (PFS) 
pieces down to the EFI level as an alternative or replacement for the 
EFI FAT support, and thus allowing EFI to directly access and boot from 
ODS-2, ODS-5 or from the new file system that they've been discussing.
