The new undisputed king of the ocean is in fact the Orca (killer whale)
It's smart, works in conjunction with it's fellow Orca and is even self-sacrificing if it needs to be for the protection of it's offspring
If you want to watch something on the Orca, watch the movie Blackfish but prepared to be sickened by what has been done to these majestic creatures and if you still wish to take your kids to Seaworld after seeing this film then I will be stunned to say the least
The Great White is no longer king of the ocean, the Orca outclasses it totally.
The Orca has even learnt how to approach a Great White in combat, flip it over, placing it into a catatonic state and then simply tears the Great White to bits

The area of their brains that handle emotion is the largest of any creature on earth and surpasses humans in size and complexity
They have a rich vocabulary and large social structures
I think this creature far more so than the shark is a better match for a logo for VMS along with all the symbolism gleaned from the behaviors of such a great creature
I don't however mind the phoenix but I am not too sure about the red's used in the one VSI put forward. There is a great set of lectures by TTC (The Teaching Company) on colour (yeah, Aussie spelling) and how even colour shades are important as well as the colour itself, I am not sure VSI have really nailed it with the phoenix yet
My 2C worth...
