That's not how I understood the conversation.
While there may be some issues with concurrent access, and therefore not
good for general apps which would need such, what I've taken away from
the conversation is that it just might be good as an embedded tool for
specific applications that do not require sharing.
That said, I believe there is a learning "hump" in beginning to use such
products on VMS, which may cause some people significant problems in
getting started. What might be very useful would be small projects,
perhaps taylored to learning rather than any specific needs, for
beginners to study.
Feel free to provide such a "learning tool" using various database
products on VMS using Basic ....
