   True.  And a fact I was able to use many times when diagnosing
   failing 11/780s.  Even the hardware guys understood that.

   But the world it lives in changes, and sometimes the impact cannot
   be isolated.

   I've worked with some of the most isolated computers off the planet,
   and still sometimes had to make software changes because of what
   happened on the ground.
