Curly and LaCarly only started dating a couple of months before Jun 25
2001. However, Curly went to M&A bankers almost as soon as Compaq threw
in the towel, unable to find a CEO and gave him the job.

So it is plausible that Curly would have scaled back budgets for Alpha
engineering (but not killing it) when we went from interim to to CEO and
decision to actually kill it came as he satrted to drop trouser to
LaCarly to show her what Compaq had.
