SET VERIFY and log OPA0: (or as Hoff suggested submit in a batch job).
There may be a logical you need to set for the SET VERIFY to stick
within the TCPIP procedures.

When it hangs, it should tell you roughly where in the process it does
and you can see if it always hangs at same spot.
