print queues defer storage of files to the printer. (genereally,
contents stored on something called paper :-).

if the print queue is to generate PDFs , then there needs to be a
mechanism to also store those files somewhere on a disk.  Perhaps
instead of specifying a device (serial, LAT, IP connected printer), the
print queue could be setup on a directory, and dump the PDFs there.

Then , the file name within that directory starts to matter. By job name
? job number ?


First file of job wouldn't be good since repetitive prints may specify
the same prologue file as the first file and then the variable content
in subsequent files.
