Sure, single-disk drives of 1 TB are more are available.  But I had 1 GB 
free on a 4-GB ALPHA system disk and after upgrading to 9 have 
correspondingly more free.  While people might laugh at it, I'm pretty 
sure it is completely unrelated to any problems I am having now.
