The reason why I asked was this: I wondered when HPE would come to the realization that their OpenVMS support group was duplicating the efforts of VSI (at least for OpenVMS on Itanium) and that it might make better business sense to partner with VSI rather than compete with VSI.

No one expects HPE to ever release OpenVMS-8.5 so at some point HPE will need to call it quits.
