Thanks Hoff. The version of Adobe Reader I was using couldn't open that pdf
document earlier this evening. Installing Foxit Reader fixed that problem.
However, the manual doesn't touch the topic "return to factory settings".
It assumes that the serial connection operates, which it doesn't.
Perhaps I should open up the box.
