Yes.  Core memory was available for most of the 16-bit C/xxx and S/xxx 
series.  CMOS was available later, with Battery Backup for memory as an 
option. I don't have a catalog covering MV/xxxx but core might have been 
available there too, 
 RDOS ran on both Eclipse and Nova hardware.  In fact the Nova version would 
run on Eclipse.  AOS required Programmed Interval Timer (PIT) which was an 
option at least for lower model Eclipses.
