Why TCP/IP instead of LAT? Is that a joke? Do I realy need to
tell *you* that? But OK, for everyone else then...

- LAT is not routable. You are restricted to the local LAN (subnet).
- PuTTY (and many other emulators) does not support LAT.
- You will probably find TCP/IP by default on more (client) platforms.

Both the first and the second are enough as show-stoppers, of course.
