Can you point to even one instance when a company, mfg, distributor, and such, 
has lost any customers because they continue to use VMS?

IT is ALWAYS an expense ....

IT can be a strategic asset ....

Being a strategic asset is mostly about the applications, not the OS.  But, in 
fairness, I will admit that while not a part of the OS, SSL issues are causing 
some problems with being a strategic asset this month.
