Knowing what our requirements are, and a fair bit of research, a DVCS 
just does not seem like a good match for us. We shall see - things might
change.

Re: NXTware Remote is a multi-platform (Windows, Linux, MAC) eclipse
based GUI editor for OpenVMS code that integrates with SVN, CMS  (not 
sure what others).

Available  gui language Eclipse plug-in editors include COB, Java, FOR 
(77, 90, 95, 2003, 2008), BAS, PAS, C/C++, Lua, Erlang, Python, JavaScript, 
Perl, Ada)

Integrates with DECset products as well (MMS, CMS LSE etc)
