A test with file deletes from a "large" directory was mentioned. That
had run with "twice the speed". No actual figures or other background.
I didn't find *that* specific part of the presentation as particularly
professional.

Areas that can be improved are of course related to operations that are
specific to the VMS file system as such. Nothing will make the actual
disk hardware to become faster, of course.
