Andy Goldstein demoed creation and deletion of a large number of files.
I don't have the numbers at hand, but it was like create a file/write a
record/close the file and do this 1000 or 5000 times was 3 to 4 times
faster than on ODS-5.
Especially with increasing volume sizes this seems definitely good news
to me.
