Todays market cap is HP 27 and HPE 38 giving combined 65, so
roughly half. Not good.

Maybe. Maybe not.
Maybe they are slimming down to become more "eatable".
Maybe they are slimming down to just to become lean and mean.
Maybe they are considering both options and the outcome
depends on the price.
In the end it is all about money.
