Imho, it is even simpler than this .. the BOD and senior HPE
folks are getting ready for a fire sale to the highest bidder.
Those involved at this level will all make millions in the
transaction.
HP has dropped from a $128B company to one worth something like
$25B in approx. 18 months.
Having lived through the DEC and Compaq pre-merger "slimming
down" worlds, all of this recent downsizing is a sure sign that
HPE is heading the auction block.
