I know nothing about the product, but I'm assuming some type of locking. If
it's internal to the product, then it would not have cluster wide locking.
However, if the locking was rather modular, then replacing the locking modules
with something using the VMS DLM would then allow cluster wide locking. If the
DLM in it's current state was compatable with the product's requirements.
Now if some large customer decided to get serious about using the product, then
you get into Michael's "convincing managers at VSI", or someone wants a freebie,
and TANSTAAFL.
Similar thing if you want more than cluster wide locking ....
