Not sure where you get the idea of a resource being a bad word...
In the IT world - especially the IT project world, staff have
always been referred to as resources.
Just open any project management tool like MS Project. There is a
"Resources" tab and underneath that there is a menu item "Assign
Resources" where you input the people names that will be the
resources working on the project.
