DECnet Phase V caching has has occasionally gotten confused.   I've 
long recommended upgrading to DECnet Phase IV (technically IV+) absent 
specific requirements for V, and particularly to migrate to ssh and 
sftp or other more modern connections given the near-deprecated and 
completely-insecure status of DECnet.
