Lots of Oracle Customers looking to find something else these days.

One reason - Just way to expensive - especially if one believes the old adage that 80% of Oracle Customers only use 20% of all its available features.

I maintain that the last 15 years was about reducing HW costs, but the next 10-15 years will be all about reducing SW costs.

Cust's did not jump on Windows or Linux for technical reasons - they jumped on commodity platforms because the offerings were perceived to be "good enough" and the cost savings were to large to ignore.

Same is going to happen with the big SW vendors - Cust's will find "good enough" alternatives at a fraction of the price.
