Usually it show appear in the so-called taskbar; usually it's
stowed, then click on the up-facing triangle ("^") and click
on the icon with the USB plug and check mark in a green circle.

Type the following in the "Start" (or whatever it's called
in your version) or in a Command Prompt or PowerShell window:

	COMPMGMT

Or:
	COMPMGMT /S

This will open the so-called Hardware (or Component) Manager.
Then go to "Storage" and "Storage Manager", which are located
near the bottom (at least, in 8.1, likely in 10, too). If you
see something that may resemble your USB flash drive/disk, check
if it has any valid partitions and, if so, assign a drive letter
if it has none yet (by right mouse clicking on the volume).

You can also open a file browser/manager (i.e. "Explorer",
"Windows Explorer" or something similarly named) window from
there, from the same right mouse button context menu).

Some of my instructions may be off, because I had to translate
some words (because of my localization).

Anyway, I hope that helps...
