Your sentence is incomplete. they need to do better than humans in EVERY
aspect of driving, and it is that tough.

Yep, computers can be better than humans in applying brakes a second or
two sooner if neceesary, or compute that it can swerve around obstacle.
Yep, computers don't get distracted.

But that does not make them better than humans in every other aspect,
especially when it comes to predicting/preparing for behaviour of humans
around them.
