[Info-vax] Exploring a hard drive on a new Vaxstation

When I wrote "File Not Found" I was being imprecise and caused unnecessary confusion, for which I apologize.
The RZ23 hard drive shows up as device DKA300.  When I typed "Boot DKA300" I got the messages:
-DKA300
?42 NOSUCHFILE, DKA300 
84 FAIL
I'll proceed such that the disk is present and readable but not bootable.  As I have no SCSI CDROM at the present I'll pursue the option to net boot via SIMH and install a fresh VMS that way.
