[Info-vax] UCX Portmapper fails with %RMS-E-RNF, record not found

Looks like the portmapper Service process UCX$PORTM is being automatically started, when the first 'portmapper request' comes in, e.g. UCX SHOW PORT

It uses it's Service Startup file SYS$SYSDEVICE:[UCX$PORTM]UCX$PORTM_STARTUP.COM and writes to it's log file SYS$SYSDEVICE:[UCX$PORTM]UCX$PORTM_STARTUP.LOG

So adding a SET WATCH FILE/CLASS=MAJ into UCX$PORTM_STARTUP.COM might provide some more Information.

The UCX$PORTM process does not have any config files permanently open.

Does the process get created in your case ? Does it terminate itself ? Exit Status (from accounting) ?
