This is a completely different - hmmm, effect (strictly spoken, not a
problem) if your name resolution does not work properly for some reason.
Especially TCP/IP startup can take ages if you have a dozen or two proxy
records defined by name which are not defined in the local database, but
rely on working name resolution.
