Microsoft is tying their front end Windows boxes to their back-end 
services on Azure, certainly.

macOS went away?  That's odd.

The market for desktops and workstations has been stagnant to 
declining, but it's definitely still around.

The next billion devices turned out to be Android and iOS and such.

But last I checled, both Windows 10 and macOS were still available and 
still in use.
