I'm going to agree with the manager.  It's just plain stupid of VSI to 
throw away the support contract.  I sure hope their reasoning is not 
"they'll be back, where else can they go".  Management might just decide 
to throw VMS out completely, or, run without support.

Don't know what they are thinking, but, it sure isn't long term ...

Now they get nothing.
