That was intended as a case of... not inclined to go look up the 
details of emacs, and not following the status of emacs.

This as I'm no longer in the mainline "where's emacs?" and the many 
other related "where's $whatever?" paths...

It'd be interesting to see how OpenVMS x86-64 will fare with its newer 
compilers, and with a recent GNV, and with any discussions of SSIO and 
fork aside.

vim and Xcode and LSEDIT, here.  And yes, sometimes using Xcode for 
OpenVMS source code, where I can manage that.  pico for some projects.
