What was the real reason why M$ dropped WNT on Alpha so late in the 
game? They were releasing Release Candidates to the field testers.

I vaguely remembered that Digital did something that really pissed M$ 
off big time and that was the reason why they canned WNT on Alpha at the 
last minute. Is that right? If so, what did Digital do?
