That's rubbish and shows you clearly have no understanding of how
this works in today's world.

You are comparing BSD, where people are encouraged to take code for
reuse, with a situation where people any submit code and you can't be
sure they are authorised to do that without a lot of checking.

The BSD culture and licence is actively designed in a way that allows
people to take BSD code with an absolute minimum of effort required.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with including BSD code in a
commercial operating system.

Compare that with GNU Readline (for example). You could not include
Readline in DCL without contaminating the whole of DCL (and maybe
even VMS itself) with the GPL as Readline is GPL and not LGPL.
