The solution isn't to break Putty.  :-)  I have a  number of options.
The trick is to pick the one that works best.  I have DECNET running
and will try my DECServer today.  I can always set up TCPIP and hand
type the license.  Or I can use C-Kermit from a Unix box which can do
both the delay method and the "look for a prompt" method.  And lastly,
there is a method to bootstrap a minimal Kermit client for VMS and
then use it to transfer the file.  So many options so little time.  :-)

One way or the other it will be ready to use this weekend.  With all
the snow we are supposed to get it's not like I will have anything
else to do (other than plowing the driveway, I guess!!)
