Are you planning to expose any of these older systems to the outside world ?

If you are, I would urge major caution if doing so.

Regardless of what some people might tell you, VMS is just like any
other operating system when it comes to vulnerabilities.

I don't want you to find that out the hard way, so be careful. :-)
