All businesses need a custom IT system.
They can get it from scratch, or they can get it from customizing an existing
system (like SAP, which is designed to be customized).
To get it from scratch, you need programmers who know the business and who
know some programming environment.
To get it from SAP, they need programmers who know the business and who know
SAP.
Knowing the business in great detail is hard. Knowing SAP in great detail
is hard. Asking for staff who have both skills is like asking for a unicorn.
Getting it from scratch is just as hard, but can at least be done in stages.
