Totally right. On my opinion, it is THE problem with the VSM ecosystem.
I add the fact that even if you will, because of the littleness of your
real strenghts, you cannot do all you want to do.

I don't think there will ever be a large community. But I think, being
humble, it could possible to use existent strengths (mine, others I
know) and get something usable.
And, in such situation, VSI could help somehow, but not assume a
complete support. Trading in this issue like with ISVs doing some
software. And, very important, just communicating "something exists,
have a look".
I had proposed that to VSI years ago, and they don't agree on this
method... And so they cannot say anything - real - about "the future" of
Ada on VMS.
