If I understood VSI correctly the point of the -2L2 build was to use
compiler switches to produce EV6-code only.
As the -2L2 binaries media don't boot on real pre-EV6 hardware nor on a
CHARON-AXP system configured as a EV4 / EV45 system (the system just
hangs after "jumping to bootstrap code", consistent with what VSI
claimed when the -2L2 build was announced), I still suspect that
FreeAvanti does not tell you the whole truth when you ask it for CPU
capabilities.
